ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESSIBILITY AT SUMTER LITTLE THEATRE.

Sumter Little Theatre believes the arts are for everyone. We are committed to making every performance as welcoming and accessible as possible, and we work hard to ensure that physical ability, hearing, or financial circumstance never stand between a patron and a great night at the theatre.

Wheelchair Accessible Seating
Six wheelchair accessible seats are available at every performance. To reserve one, please contact our House Manager, Dawn, in advance so we can ensure the best possible seating arrangement for you and your companions.

Hearing Assistance
For audiences with diminished hearing, we amplify performers, musicians, and key sound effects whenever needed. If you have specific hearing needs for an upcoming performance, please let us know ahead of time so we can prepare accordingly.

Requests and Accommodations
If you or someone in your party has an accessibility need we haven't listed here, please reach out. Every request is taken seriously, and we will do our absolute best to serve all patrons of the arts. The more notice we have, the more we can do — but we will always try, regardless of timing.

Website Accessibility
We've designed this website with readability in mind for as many visitors as possible. Our body text typography is the font "Inclusive Sans," a typeface intentionally crafted to improve legibility for readers with dyslexia, low vision, and other visual processing differences. Letterforms are drawn with distinct, open shapes — so characters like "I," "l," and "1" don't blur together — and generous spacing makes longer passages easier to follow.

We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our site. If you encounter any part of our website that is difficult to use, please reach out to our website manager so we can address it.

Financial Accessibility

The 2nd Thursday performance of SLT'S mainstage shows is "Pay What You Can."
We also believe that cost should never be a barrier to live theatre. Each production includes a Pay What You Can performance, where patrons choose a ticket price that works for their budget. No questions asked, no explanations needed — just come and enjoy the show.
For questions about Pay What You Can night, please reach out to Taylor Mitchum, Board Vice President, at taylor@sumterlittletheatre.org.
